Easter trip to Kentucky gone wrong

Left Friday at 3 a.m. with the kids to go to our cabin in Kentucky. My parents were following in my white Ram. Wife was riding Greyhound down after work Saturday night/Sunday morning for Easter with kids. Friday about 8 a.m. we get clipped by a semi and it busts the strut and smashes the fender as we go into Ky. We drive 50 miles to town at 25 mph with the front tire way out of whack. Shop says they can look at van so I drive 5 more miles to cabin to unload kids and dog. Get to cabin and tornado dropped a huge pine tree across the drive so we can't get through. Had to find a guy with a chainsaw and bulldozer to clear a path which took another 2 hours. Drop van off Friday at 1 p.m. get it back Monday at 3 p.m. with new strut. While waiting on van Monday we drive truck to local Tractor Supply and wife trips over piece of metal sticking out in sidewalk and falls and busts her lip and nose open. Left this morning and got home a few minutes ago, Got to find a body shop tomorrow to try to fix or replace fender now.

Damn dude! What a string of misfortune! Sorry for your troubles. The kids will talk about this one for years.

Well it got worse when we got home. My wife left a couple water bottles and bowls of food but my daughter's guinea pig was dead.....she said it seemed sick before we left so we just now buried it and went and got flowers for it's gravesite.....

Have pics of wife's face after the fall but she will kill me if I posted those..........Kind of looks like I punched her....haha

Sorry about your weekend, it coulda been worse! heh. After easter festivities on sunday, my dad decided to take off on my moped and my cousin went with him on my second one, my dad ended up spilling it and by the time I got there was laying face down unconscious in a pool of blood around his head (at the time I didn't know what to expect!), 22 stitches around the eye, broken ankle and quite some time in the hospital... luckily no DUI for him. Hoping he learned his lesson.
