Dual batteries

I want to run dual batteries in the truck. Should I run them in paralle or series?

Note, Im going for more start up power, and more power while running compressors and a sound system.

The batteries should be run in Parallel, ie pos. to pos., neg. to neg. You'll get more current capacity this way.

DON'T run them in series, ie pos to negative, pos to neg such as a flashlight battery stack. you'll end up with 24 volts in your system and probably cook a lot of stuff.
