Drove a Porsche Panamera

The MKX was supposed to be named Aviator until Lincoln went to alphanumeric naming. I might be wrong, but I thought I saw the MKX remake with an Aviator nameplate on it (2006 model?). Call it a pinto if you want, but it was the direct replacement for the Aviator and the concept vehicle in 2004 was called Aviator.

The current Lincoln names are stupid and do nothing for brand recognition. I kept wondering when they would change the names on the Town Car and Navigator. And they wonder why they can't sell cars...

The MKX has absolutely nothing to do with the Aviator.

Back on topic: The Panamera is ugly as hell.

Porsche owners have to be so angry with this car, along with the rest of the car world. Who in the hell thought of this ugly ass car? That front end/car design is for small cars. Idiots.

I think it would have looked better as a wagon. It looks kid of stupid as a sedan. At least there is a precedent with the CTS and Volvo's all having wagons.

I would much rather have a Cayenne than that thing.

The new Aston sedan is going to blow this thing out of the water.

Agreed. I love '911s, but that's the only "real" Porsche IMO. I must admit though, the Cayenne is sick. This will fail IMO.

As far as Lincoln goes, the letter models are NOT intended to be "Mark" cars, the models are as spelled. My thoughts are that they are following Lexus, Mercedes, BMW, Acura, etc........
