hi i was on corral and they had a list of vehicles that had parts that can be used on mustangs. on the list they had suggested a drive shaft from a lincoln mark VIII and was wondering if anyone has done this before and if it works?

i started with a 66 inline 6 mustang and ive been switching it over to pretty much a fox body drivetrain i have the 5.0 302 and have a 8.8 rearend i'm planning on using. i never got a drive shaft and thought it being aluminum was a plus and i heard it would fit but haven't really seen anyone do it.

The stock driveshafts aren't aluminum though. You're probably thinking of the aftermarket ones that everyone is running.

I don't think the MKVII comes with an aluminum driveshaft, should be steel. For a conversion like you're doing you'll probably need a custom shaft, you need to check the length needed first and go from there.

and you can get a custom shaft for under $250, I use a place down in lincoln park, near the new hustler club
