Drew and Mike show history???

This shit better not be true. I might choke someone if it is. Since 97.1 FREE FM is gone there is no good talk radio.

Seems to be wrong so far as they were on this morning! I could careless either way honestly as they have become terrible! Even before Drew left the show to help Tess....

Someone should just call and ask them on the air. Justin, call them on the batphone! :secret:

They were / are on the air. The show isn't done, Tess is still sick.

Everyone needs to put away thier jump to conclusions mats.

O, and watch the background.

Lane's leave to continue a while
January 4, 2008

Waiting for Drew Lane?

Don't expect the on-leave top-rated WRIF-FM (101.1) morning host to return until late January at the earliest, his attorney Mike Novak said.

Lane, who left the show in late September to care for cancer-stricken fiancée Tess Schuster, has a contract with the Greater Media-owned station that Novak says expired Dec. 31.
But Novak said all sides have agreed to get together for talks in mid-January. Lane's morning cohorts -- Mike Clark, Mike Wolters and Marc Fellhauer -- have separate still-in-effect deals that assure them morning work on WRIF. Newscaster Trudi Daniels has a separate deal and is not in the Novak stable.

Greater Media outgoing Detroit chief Tom Bender noted in an e-mail "as the manager of the radio station, it was my boss and I who gave Drew an open-ended leave of absence, which means exactly that. .... We told him he could come back whenever he felt that it was time to come back."

The ratings for the mostly-Lane-less final quarter come out Thursday, when undoubtedly his value to the show and station will be much more measurable.

Meanwhile, Lane continues to work on a book about his 16 years at WRIF and write columns for the online sports magazine Michigan In Play (www.michiganinplay.com).

This sounds like the writing is on the wall. Why write a book about the past 16yrs if he is going to come back? :dontknow:
