I have the oppertunity to buy a new in box dpms sportical from a friend of mines dad who won it at a hunting show of some sort. I know this is a cheap ar but it will be my first one. He's asking $500 dollars. Is it worth it to buy then maybe upgrade the upper later to one that has forward assist, dust shield, and shell deflector? Is dpms even a good brand I haven't heard a lot about them. Tell me what you guys think.

My dad and I have a dpms ar-10, we love it!
