Dan Decided he needed yet more power. As if going 6.0x's in the 1/8 last year wasn't fast enough with some traction and converter issues. Well he got the Converter fixed and Needed more power. Traction to come with some help soon.

Here are the pictures of the new parts for the HP turbo Kit.

New Front Section to Down Pipe is 304 stainless
New Charge Pipes Polished 6061 Aluminum From Vibrant
New S80 Turbo with 1.10 hotside A/R
New Tial 50mm BOV.

We have a bit of polishing and touch up to do but Dan Asked me to post this here so I am. Detial Express will be getting the detial on cleaning this bad lad up since its been here for a little while and Dan plans to take it to a big car show soon. Will post more pictures once the scrub and polish is put on.

Anyways When we get it to the rollers we will post some video and power numbers.

Congrats Dan I hope you really like the upgrades !

Here are the pictures. Yes I have been burning down a chimmney worth of cigarettes all day getting this wrapped up.

very nice Sean!! My cousin is in the process if getting his Trubo kit together for his 302 notch and when he has all the pieces I will recommend he brings it by.

Thanx. I am always learing of showing people my welds. I am not as good as Joe Stenod or Dave at Teamz. Those guys can really weld !

If he gets a HP kit and wants to run something bigger then a pt76 tell him to let me know first. the Downpipe and Coldside will require refabbing.

Looking good, Sean. Thanks for all your effort in this project... I appreciate it.

Sean and I always have some great debates about stuff like the existence of God, the source of order in the universe, whether or not Intelligent Design should be taught alongside the Evolutionary Theory, etc... And through it all we have remained friends:bigthumb: But that's because he knows I'm really right:naughty1:

Anyway, looking forward to getting it on the rollers to see what it spits out now (hopefully, its not the rods)...See you on Monday.

While this statement may be somewhat true because as they say, "You can never have too much power" this wasn't really my intention. I intended to just leave the car alone and play with suspension this year.

But, I got such a good deal on the turbo and blow-off valve that by the time I sold my pt76, I only had to kick in $100.00 more to get both this S80 (which is far superior to what I had) and the Tial blowoff valve - both of which are brand, spankin' new. My junk was used. I just couldn't pass it up.

This is the cheapest 100+rwhp for me yet...

Damn good deal. Sometimes you cant pass them up. But sometimes they get you in trouble too. ;) Next on the list for your ride is mini tub. That will help traction issues that you have just raised and dont even know it yet. hehe Car dose look good!!! Congrats on the new upgrade.

I would love to mini-tub the car. I definately seeing it happen someday in the future. Only way that I won't do that is if I have to lose the tailpipes. If I can't keep the pipes, then I won't mini-tub it.

Looking forward to seeing you run your car this year, too! I've heard its really nice.

BTW, do you have any recent pictures of it with the turbo under hood? I would like to see them. Post 'em up, even in my thread if you want. I wouldn't mind at all.

Looks good Dan, can't wait to see it out.

Thanks casper. I plan to be out alot this summer. That's why I'm getting it done now while there is snow on the ground. In the past, I've waited until the spring, and then before I know it, the summer is almost over and I'm still not out.

If it doesn't break anything, I'll be driving it! Lookin' forward to hangin' with you guys more this summer on Tele.

Dan
