Donation of girls clothes, toys, etc.

Anyone know the best place to donate children's clothes, coats, toys, etc. is? I have a bunch of it to get rid of, mostly girl and baby stuff. Preferably somewhere in northern Oakland county.

Is the Goodwill store or the Salvation Army the best places?

Either is good. I go to Salvo since its about a mile away, easy to drop off and get you slip for tax time

Goodwill is not actually a charity. Take it to Salvation Army.

Give it to a local church, they will get it to a battered womens shelter, they need it,

and get you slip for tax time

Only new items are tax deductible.

Yes, I work in holly and have a decent amount of stuff. Will be here late tonight.
