Dog seizures

I'm sorry for your family's loss. We lost our old english bulldog because of seizures. It was like loosing a member of the family.

Thank you, it's amazing how much of an impact they make on your day to day life. Did you have another dog while you still had the english bulldog?
We had two, and now that Rocko is gone I don't know how Eva will adjust.

No we did not. I hope Eva will adjust to Rocko not being there. From the way you described his last few days she probably sensed he was ill.

Me too, my wife and I were just discussing how we sheltered her life for the last 3 years. Mainly because we were scared of seizures in public, etc. She helped out a lot with him, if he was bumping into things she would get in his way so he would change his direction. She's probably known that Rocko was sick, longer than we did. We just didn't find out until he had a big cluster.

We also had her at the Vet today too, usually when we take Rocko by himself we show back up with him. I opt'd to have her come, hoping she would understand more.

aww how sad. Im so sorry for your loss. My oldest chocolate lab has been throwing me signs that" its time to go" She is 10 and painful and she just looks at me with that look of "I dont wanna be in pain anymore". kills me but sometimes we have to do whats best for our best friends.

Thank you :). 10 years is a lot of memories!!
Not to kind of jump on the subject, but we were offered a ceramic paw print for Rocko. My wife just made this today.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Putting a pet down is the worst thing I've ever been through, that shadow box is awesome though. We lost our oldest boxer two years ago, and we got a paw print too, but whenever my wife goes to make a shadow box she can't keep it together. Again, so sorry.

Thank you! It's bittersweet right now, we are actually getting sleep and are not bound to a 12hr schedule for his pills. Though I would still carry the weight if he was around. We're trying to put our time back into our other dog Eva, shes happier with us now but she's fairly lonely.

I know I couldn't do a shadowbox, you have to go through everything that you have of them. It's rough looking at it some days.

try something to help him

I have been using CBD oil with my pug Dorris for about 6 months now and it has really helped improve her quality of life. She is 7 years old and we found out she had epilepsy when she was 4. CBD oil has reduced her seizures more than any other treatment that we have tried.
