Some young girl from i guess canada that has been at Milan alot racing a top fuel car? I'm not too sure about what i heard today but a buddy of mine said that his cousin told him that there was some girl that had been in racing most of her life and just recently rushed through all the Top-fuel classes and get her licenseing to run a top fuel dragster, and appearntly has been running it for a little while ( in some cases out here at milan) well appearantly she was racing at an event in canada some where and hit a wall head on doing 300+ mph, somehow her body was ejected but her helmet that was starpped into the car with the hans device somehow remained in the car....I dont need to say it i think you guys can figure it out what happened but she died. Anyway im trying to find out what exactly happened, has anyone heard of this?

Wow.. this is horrible.. i met and talked with her on several accounts at milan.. she was good friends with a few fellow racers i hung around all this season and last..

Best regards to her family, God Speed!

I agree very sad at a young age. R.I.P.

Tragic.... um, no.

Quotes from Steve Irwin's death said:
Well, I hate to speak ill of the newly dead, and far be it for me to be an asshole, but I can't exactly say I'm sorry to hear this.

I mean seriously. A man who handled poisonous snakes, wrestled crocks, etc died from tempting fate one too many times..

I don't see this as a tragedy, but more as an affirmation that there -was- great risk in what he did.

I'd rather wrestle crocs then go 300mph, even though I love to go fast.

But you can only; quote;
But you can only tempt fate so many times before you get burned.

But hey, im just an ass:dontknow:

I know a couple people that were out there at the track racing in that series.

Apparently she had quite a bit of experience going 160+ passes, but that was her 5th pass in that thing. The guy that owns it uses it for exhibition purposes and was putting her in it. I don't know the wisdom of putting a 17 yr old in a 300 mph jet car from a car that goes 170s. That's a BIIIIIIG jump.

Very sad.
