Does anyone know this car that I got screwed on??

sue his ass.

fraud in the inducement, detrimental reliance,

file in small claims, you can get up to $5k now. (difference of the value of the car as presented and the actual value of the car.)

What more advice could you want or need? Get your case
together & file.

Can you at least post the screen name of the fucker who robbed you so the rest of us don't get taken?

I don't think he is a member here but could be. I bought it from craigslist. His name is Scott, I have his last name but not sure if I should post it.

Like others have said, small claims is the way to go. I've been in the exact same situation as you, and had the printouts of the for sale ads, with the list of the things that were supposedly done to the car. Long story short, I got a decent chunk of the purchase price back due to misrepresentation. I'd get a written estimate from a shop or two for what it'd take to make it the way that the seller had said it already way. Judges like to see that, trust me. You'll be golden as long as you have proof/documents/advertisements on what he said was in it. If you don't, it's his word against yours if he lies to the judge and then you may have a problem. It's cheap to file, so go for it.

Jameser: DON'T POST UP ANY MORE INFO!!
Take this to court. Gather your documentation, including phone calls and texts. Even get a statement from the guy who was with you when you bought it.

At this point I don't know what I want to do. Maybe just get the word out there so no one else gets screwed. Just pisses me off to Way over pay for what i didn't get.

I appreciate you getting the word out, and it sucks what happened, however right now, the only thing I know, is a Scott, that maybe from Westland is misrepresenting what he is selling. I hope once you decide what your going to do, that you provide a little more detail on which Scott in Westland to watch out for.

you bought the car in as is condition and it is stated as much, so in my opinion you're stuck with it.this could be construed as buyers remorse .

I have no buyers remorse, when I buy something advertised as one thing and get something totally sub par to what was stated, that is the issue. Like I said I still like the car, but it needs about $5000 to be at the level the car was promoted as being. He had a perfect answer to every question I asked prior to buying the car, magically once I got the car home and started digging into it to find several false issues, he just told me well that's what I was told it had. When I was there he spoke as if he bought the engine built from rays performance and gave me every spec i asked for.

Believe me I have bought many cars that turned out to be a turd that broke or blew up right after I got them, but I know that is the risk of buying used. I don't mind a couple discrepancies from what I bought to what it is, but when I pay top dollar for what is total lies, there is the problem.

Let me know if I can help with anything!

If he put everything he said to you in the ad and you have a copy, then you should be golden. If it is your word against his, then you are wasting your time.

Almost everything was word of mouth. I have text back and forth with me telling him all the discrepancies and he never denies anything. He keeps saying that's what he was told it had.
