Dodge/Ram is ON THE BALL... introducing the Dodge Adventurer

I like the sport paint on it! I'm glad Dodge is starting to make nice trucks for this price range. I have the quad cab right now but would haven no problem going to a RC, I was looking at HD models with the cummins and stick, but for half the price and more power than most people would ever need, you'd be dumb not to look in to this or the Tradesman

i don't see this being a very big market, but i could be wrong.. can't you go to the dealership now and walk out the door with one of these, minus the name? i think i'm missing the point.

Possibly not to answer that question. Usually you get stuck with a bunch of other options you didn't really want that add a bunch of price to the truck when you opt for the bigger motor. as for how much demand there could be, for $10,000 more, 7 - 13 years ago Ford sold 28,000 trucks to what I think would be a similar demographic. They could sell a solid number of these. It is a more useful truck than a Lightning and similarly fast for less money. And better gas mileage for what that's worth.

They don't build them because they don't buy them, and the options are usually setup where you can't build one if you wanted!

i think it has a lot to do with leasing. it's cheaper to lease a loaded, 4 door truck than a reg cab with 4 wheel drive, because it's easier to sell once turned back in. but i thought for sure you cold still order a truck like that already. interesting stuff.

I wish I could go to a dealer and order a car or truck like you used to do it
option by option not in a group of stuff I dont want packaged in with it

Yup. back when I got mine in 04, they had to go to Indiana to get it, and my lease was $330 vs. the $150 Ram leases at the time
