Same here, if only I had the means for one... It'd be that red with black matte hood IF I only had those as an option.

I like the silver with black, straight black and the graphite ones best having seen all of them in person. But red is always cool!

I agree to that, especially silver with something black.. we still have to meet up so ya can see the silver car.
 
Maybe it's me, but something just looks 'off' with those flares. I can't put my finger on it. Otherwise I like it.

Nope. It’s not just you. People either love them or they just hate them. The younger gen seem to love the wide body’s. I don’t care for it. My son keeps telling me “ you know dad, we can get those flares for our Hellcat.” He’s 12. I nicely tell him not while I still own it. When it’s his, who knows. I like the clean look of without.
 
They just don't look right. Hell, with a satin black hood, black, riveted flares would even look better. I'm not opposed to flares, they just look like they were a last minute thing.

Rivets suck

Flares arent the best on certain colors, but 800hp and drag radials as oe on a car, makes me forget that meaningless stuff, that people keep complaining about
 
Eventually the bean counters were going to win one, and it looks like it was on the fender flares. It would cost millions to tool up new fenders and rear quarters. Low volume flare tool was a couple hundred thousand.

You call it 'meaningless stuff,' I consider it an incomplete package. Imagine the corners cut that you and I can't see.

So why use the ugliest flares you can find? Also, why bother designing a new hood? Why not chop it up and glue a cheap scoop on it? It just doesn't make sense to me.

It was noted in this thread, any sheet metal changes would have needed all new crash testing

I don't work for Chrysler, but I would bet they had a stylist working on them for months to try and get them looking the best they could. Sometimes, no matter how much work you put in, it is still lipstick on a pig.

I still don't like them but I agree. I've seen a few wide body hellcats with the same flares and they definitely look best on black. Factory 9 second car>my dislike for flares.
