Dodge Demon

It's very frustrating. I'm the exact demographic that car was built for. I'm a drag racer.

So far I've gotten from them:

2012 Hemi Ram
2015 Hemi Ram
2014 Cummins Dually
2014 300C
2015 Hellcat Challenger

Now I'm trying to spend another 86k over there and will probably be buying new cars for another 25 years and they want to play this stupid game? Doesn't make sense.

You are a loyal customer to them. I'd think they would take better care of you.

Nothing wrong with Silver. Hope you are able to buy one at sticker, it would be nice to see someone from MM have a Demon.

Guy I know in Nebraska had a deal to get one from a dealer but they didn't get an allocation. He hasn't found one without mark up yet either.

If I had time to fly to delaware right now, I could get one at sticker. I'd also have to take my rig out there and drag it back here when it was built. They won't let me purchase the car from here, they said I have to be there to sign all the Demon waivers. Unfortunately I don't have time to fly out there right now.

I'm kinda irritated with the whole thing at this point. Looks like I'll keep the hellcat for now.

Hellcat probably makes a better beater...LOL!

I was just talking with a buddy about all this. I think the hype will die down after a bit. I think the real enthusiast/racer just won't pay the cool kid tariff on principle alone. 3000 cars is a lot of specialty vehicles to seek over sticker. It's 258 million dollars worth! Give it a month.

just texted my good buddy, told him for msrp he had a for sure sale. and i quote "we are sold out and way more than msrp, sorry"....sorry dude, i even told him its a guaranteed sale.... they got $25K over MSRP.

I guess Whitehawk hit the nail on the head on this...

The problem is if all the dealerships charge over MSRP, it brings the time line back into the exact same place as if none of them doing it.

Yeah, that's exactly it. I'm just not paying over sticker for anything, period. And I want the car because I like what it is and what it can do, I'm not interested in pimp appeal.

They did do a great job of marketing this thing however, so it could possibly work for 3000 cars.

I know for a fact a lot of guys got them at sticker though, I'm mostly frustrated that I couldn't, because of how much money I've spent at this dealer.

That blows. I would imagine you are probably one of a very small handful of people that will actually ever take it to a drag strip.

Can't you just sign the forms and fax or email back to them?
Why do you have to be there in person?

I don't see why you have to be there. You have to have a notary sign it when your done no matter what. Then the form and vehicle order number gets emailed to someone at FCA

fuck it... fly out... sign... fly back... I'll take your truck and trailer and go get it... :icon_bigg

Spoke with Ken's buddy. They had 4 allocations, they did sell them at MSRP and all are sold. They actually have a total of 10 or 11 deposits on them already, so 6 or 7 people are still in line but can't order.

I don't see why not either, but they weren't having it any other way. I'm sure that one is already gone by now anyhow.
