I have a set of et drags on 15 inch steelies. Do I need tubes in the slicks, or is that only if you're running rim screws? This would be a 12 second car at best..

Tubes are not needed at all. A tube will help to stiffen up the side walls of the tire. If the car is heavy I would run tubes IMO.

Next time you replace them take some dish soap and coat he inside of the tire....problem solved.
like , squirt some in there and rub it around?
i could probably use tubes now. couldnt get them to work with the manual trans. 10.5stiff worked better

The air you loose is actually lost through the sidewall of the tire. The soap will only help if you have a rim/bead leak. If 10.5S worked better for you, I would try a tube also.
