Do Not Deal With Brad O'Hara/oharaautomotive

Maybe the classifieds should be for CLUB members and not FORUM members. If there is that much of an issue these days with transactions shut it down to only CLUB members.

I just wanted to give a quick thanks to a good club member The Man. He went out if his way to make a transaction go smoothly, even though it really wasn't his deal. Thanks a lot. 1+ coming your way. That is the way honest , stand up people are.
Good to hear!! Did u get his autograph?? He was in the boy band "Color me badd"

Why? Scum like brad who will easily take 1100 for scrap would surely fork over a few bucks if he knew he was going to pull off a successful scam for that kind of money.

I've had nothing but good transactions with everybody on this board, forum and club.

I missed it, did anyone say how the heads procured epoxy in them between the original guy and the current owner?

Really? I have done many deals on MM, with
no complaints, so after 5,000+ posts and 9 years
I shouldn’t be trusted just because I’m a “Forum
Member?”

^Agree with 4Gas$, WTF is the difference if you're a forum member or club member? I dont pay to be on any forum or car clib, ever. A decent seller, is a decent seller, end of story.

I was following this but it got way too long and was really dragging on, too long, didn't read.
Regardless, Brad being a business owner KNOWS if he's selling something as-is, or with unknown history it needs to be in writing!

Point of all this is that the deal was bunk, the heads are junk, as-is or not, the seller needs to step up and do something besides turn away from the sale.

As sad as it is, this stuff happens all over, daily.....to both buyers and sellers.

I deal with this stuff everyday. I sell ALOT of parts, for myself, some other racers and a few shops. Plus, I'm the moderator for Classifieds on a few big boards, including Yellowbullet and Turbobullet. Sometimes there's no good answer and the two parties have to either work it out or take it to court. I've been involved in hundreds of deals gone bad trying to find a happy medium for both parties. Internet shaming use to work, not so much anymore. Banning almost never resolves the original problem only stops the non-savy people from getting back on the forum.

In the end, people need to educate themselves on the things they are buying (or selling). Most of the racing industry as a no return policy - even when purchasing new. If you're not sure what your looking at, you need to have stuff looked at BEFORE the sale. Its not so much as trust, its to cover your own ass (or investment).

What I would do: If I were Pax, I would take the heads and the info from Roush and go to Brads shop and try to work something out (whatever that may be). I would do it in person, not over the phone, not over the internet. I don't know Pax (I don't think) and I met Brad once at Milan when he introduced himself because he sponsored a class we were running.

There are bad members everywhere, even here. I've been lied to, stood up, screwed over and one member of this site owed me $2500 for an engine deal almost 5 yrs ago now. The story has been posted, including pics of the engine....it gets brought up quite often in the grudge section, but it never gets resolved. 1/2 the stuff I post I get lowballed on, sometimes by newbies, but most of the time it by the regulars......hell, some are posting in this thread. LOL!

Live and learn and cover your ass wheather your buying or selling........

Lol.

I offered you 200 for just the wire, and which you were asking 250 for everything. Hmm that's a low ball?
Don't post "want gone" and not expect an offer. But being big bad moderator of parts forums far and wide you should know what prompts what.

Firm= no offers
Must sell= offers
Want gone=offers

Even though your a member, you use motown 90% to sell your shit or your friends shit. . Thanks for being a club member.

There have been multiple people in this thread that have stated they trust Club members more than Forum members, sorry you haven't become a club member over the 9 years you have been on here. So if there is that much of an issue lately then make it club members only. I've bought and sold stuff to Club and Forum members and only had one issue and that person since stopped using one screen name and I am pretty sure created a new one but it really isn't worth my time to contact a mod to do anything about it.

Please tell me these boat anchors are not the ones in the garage sale section now if they are not fixable why are they for sale??

they are the same heads. Good luck selling those at $900 firm.

They ARE fixable. As has been stated by both Ron/Roush and Mike Curcio. I am just not going to pay Roush rates to have them fixed. So you guys can stop with the boat anchor comments and unfixable comments at anytime now. The price is also what I was advised by Ron/Brad and others to list them for.

Rusty and Razor can/will fix them at a much more reasonable rate. However, as stated in the ad. I have a different style of heads on the way to me now and the combination has entirely changed.

Brad could also man up and do the right thing and refund my money, however his immoral character has shown he won't be doing that.

First off, I agree with Pax on this entire situation, I think he got fucked, but I find statements like "this is a close knit car club" funny when we get replies like the one above. This is a forum for most people and a club for the minority in here. Most people just come on here and don't attend meetings, functions, support the club by buying a membership, etc. I'm not saying I do alot, but I have been to meetings at Pepperbottoms, Hooters, Met up on Woodward, gotten a spot in the Motown Lot, been to multiple track rentals, supported Sponsors businesses. Don't expect to have 100% honest sellers and buyers in here if this is just an internet forum for some people. That's the point I am trying to get across.

I have been on here since 2004 and I have made some great friends, gotten some fantastic support during tough times in my life, and had a blast hanging out at places like the Motown lot or the oil change place on woodward. I don't go to many events anymore since I don't have a car, and I have honestly taken up different interests. Doesn't mean I wouldn't help out a CLUB member or FORUM member in a heartbeat, I was just trying to make a point that this an internet forum to a lot of people and that's it. Like a lot of people have said I would put more trust in someone who supports the club by becoming a member than some random who comes on here to use it as Craigslist. My .02, don't like it, oh well cant please everyone.

Pax - I hope you get something in a lawsuit from that guy, the evidence is strong that he knew he was selling you something he misrepresented. Good Luck.

I have bent over backwards on many occasions & helped MM
members & non-members alike with information & other resources.
Likewise I too have been helped out by some great folks on MM.

My good reputation stands & speaks for itself. Paying an annual
membership fee isn’t going to change anything – I contribute to
MM, always have, always will.

I too feel the same way Ponyryd does. I have never paid a fee
to join any on-line club and won’t be anytime soon. If that makes
me a second class citizen that wouldn’t be able to buy & sell,
then so be it, make a new rule.

In the long run, it won’t benefit anyone.

There should be, at the very least, a feedback thread that allows a buyer/seller to post a +1 or -1 for any transactions done on board items. No chat, no running commentary, just your basic "+1 for Xxxxx, showed up on time, with cash, easy deal" or "-1 for 91xxxxx, wore ripped jorts and kept dropping his money and bending over to pick it up. Asked if there was any way to 'sweeten the deal a bit' and kept licking his lips"

Mods would have to keep an eye on it and allow issues to be resolved privately or outside of the thread, but anybody considering business on the board would at least get a basic feeling for the buyer/seller
