distributor puzzle

ok guys, my distributor in my 1969 Chevelle is loose. It is an MSD unit, and I don't have the star pattern wrench to get at it and tighten it down. I'm going to get the wrench soon, but I wanted to know if that's all that's wrong with my distributor. Is there something else that could be causing the loosness?

what is loose, the entire distributor body on the intake hole, or?

just the entire distributor unit itself

Need more explanation than that. Or take pictures....

if the distributor is loose in the intake hole, what hold down clamp are you using? most aftermarket ones suck

yeah it's got a slip collar. and I'm usin the stock clamp, I haven't bothered to change it yet. now that it's winter, i have a lot more time... what do ya recommend?
