Disney World suggestions

Was just at Disneyland out west over Christmas, Hyper Space Mountain and Soaring are the best rides followed by Bugs Life 3D movie, Cars, Pirates, Indiana Jones and the roller coasters. Buzz Lightyear was good too, the line for Star Wars was too long, fast pass was sold out by 11 am.

We go 6 times a year. Two weeks at a time is a Looooomg trip. Biggest tip I can give as someone who's there a lot is rent a 2 bedroom condo with a full kitchen, (I like the i4 /192 area) get a car and learn the back roads cause oh boy will there be traffic!. Spend a couple days at Universal. Book a room there too for a night so you get two days of unlimited fastpasses.
Subscribe to Mousesavers and your best deal on tickets will be with undercover tourist.
Lots of food in and out side of the parks but in the parks don't be surprised to spend $300 on dinner (Brown Derby, Le Cellier, Tony's or Be Our Guest etc) unless you wanna eat at what amounts to a burger chef or chili's.
Go to NASA too how often do you get to see a space shuttle?
A nice mall to roam around for a few and catch lunch at the food court is Mall of Millennial but it sucks for any 'real' shopping, Florida mall has all the stores but it's ghetto.
See a movie or two at Downtown Disney and CityWalk
Then... figure out how to spend week two :) lol

Universal is a good time, try and make it there...1 side is primarily rides, the other side has attractions...Hard Rock Cafe is there as well...Transformers ride was pretty cool...Mel's Drive In (American Graffiti) with Falfa and Milner's cars.

Downtown Disney, not far from the Magic Kingdom, has great restaurants and shopping.

Epcot, always a good time...As a Coke fan (legal kind), "COLA" is a must...Free samples of Coke from around the world...Mezzo Mix (German), is an orange flavored coke...The best !!!...Pizza DeNapoli, great pizza !!...You can literally eat yourself through different countries.
Test Track is a fun experience...Design a car, then take a ride in it.

Disney Studios...Prime Time Cafe...50's diner, w/BW TV's and old reruns...Great fried chicken !!
Star Tours...Star Wars Simulation.
Haunted Mansion...Pretty cool ride.
Tower of Terror...I'm a chicken ass, and don't do rides...My wife loves it though.

Magic Kingdom...Pirates of course.
It's a small world, been there forever, go once to say you did...Otherwise the music will kill your ears.
Jungle River Ride...been there forever too...worth the ride.

Animal Adventure...Take the safari tour on foot, and bus.
Dinosaur simulator (forgot the name)...Fun time.

I've only been to WDW 3 times...My wife 50 times !! (Yeah she's one of those) ;)

Enjoy yourself...Bring $$$...The prices are obscene.

Take Care...

*** Hotel Warning ***

It doesn’t matter is you’re staying in a $40 a night motel
or a $400 a night Hotel – The following applies equally :

There is a HUGE bed bug problem in America’s hotels.
Your hotel room may look clean, even “smell” clean, but
It is not disinfected; it is LOADED with germs & bacteria.

So what to do? I am a former high-end hotel manager.
The cleanliness of hotel rooms is universal. Do even a
little research on this & you’ll be amazed………& disgusted.

What I do when I stay in a hotel is I enter the hotel room
with a large “family size” can of Lysol spray & hose down
the entire room heavily, (spraying all surfaces I will touch)
then leave the room for a few hours & go get dinner
or something for the air to settle down.

I cover the beds with fresh sheets (or even plastic) then lay
my sleeping bag on top – I never touch the bed or any bedding
(including pillows). It’s kind of like “camping fun”.

Sound extreme? Perhaps, but I’ve never had any problems or
brought any little friends (bed bugs) home with me.

Downtown Disney doesn't exist anymore. They renamed and revamped it. I've been several times and 2 weeks is a crazy long time to go. That's like going to Vegas for a week. At low season a day in each park will likely get you most everything you will want to do/see. The water parks are out as it's still pretty cool down there. they may not even be open. Check out some of the dinner shows. Hoopty-do Review is decent if your kids aren't too horribly young (Above 7 should be good) Gatorland is a must see (http://www.gatorland.com/index.cfm). You aren't too far from Kennedy Space Center (About 1.5 hours). Ron Jon Surf shop is in Canaveral. You can take a day and drive down to Miami/Fort Lauderdale and see some of the Everglades. it's about 3 hours to there. Make sure your rental car has the SunPass in it or you have small bills so you can pay for all the toll roads. If you don't use toll, you're going to end up tacking quite a bit of extra travel time on your trips anywhere. If your kids are above the age of 4/5 Epcot is ok, but quite a few of the rides and sort they won't be able to get on still. Epcot is definitely more tuned for older kids and adults. We spent a day there in December and my 5 year old enjoyed getting her passport stamped, but really that was about it for her there. Don't listen to the pitch about Disney Vacation club. It's a worse investment than a timeshare.

We did four days at Universal a few years ago and did exactly this. The Fast Passes basically paid for the room. We were able to do everything we wanted, multiple times. It was great.

Finished 3 days there last night. Fun for the kids, but lotta money for what it is overall. Blows my mind that so many adults will wait in line and push and shove to meet a dude in a cartoon character suit.

Also, South Americans are rapidly approaching my "rudest/most oblivious tourists on earth" peak position.

We were in Epcot in December and the Asian's were unbearable. I don't have a filter and my wife is very confrontation adverse. She did a decent job of controlling me, but there where times it slipped out. Didn't phase the people it was directed at in the last bit.

I too have dealt with this phenomenon over the years
at the big theme parks. I simply pray for “grace & calm”.

It seems to have worked in the past…….but I’m getting older

I have two boys so they couldn't care less about the princess BS, this is the typical stuff we hit.

Universal studios - Harry Potter is huge now, you can almost make that a 2 day
island of Adventures

Disney water parks kick ass, Blizzard beach and Typhoon lagoon

I didn't see anyone mention Lego land which is 2 hours into no where but really cool

Kennedy space museum

I like to hit a park and rest the next day at the pool or water park.

Yep.
Fucking Potter is unreal... crowds. It's cool as all hell but man unless you're staying there and get early admission or visit during the serious off season it's almost undoable.
About 1/2 of Hollywood studios is closed :( if you do go I recommend Sci-Fi over prime time. Prime time is the first sit down after you enter the park so it's perpetually packed and screaming kid central to boot. Sci-fi is kinda futher in, hidden and nice and quiet.

Rude Fucking / Asian / European / Middle Eastern / tourists with strollers... don't get me started. None of them can fucking drive either so watch your 6 on the roads. I'd be banned and loose my Annual Pass if I didn't control my temper sometimes. (they trespass you, Void your passes rather than 'just' have you arrested :( ) The fucking Brits are cool as hell tho, Bully to them :D lol

I'm looking forward to the flight home, pretty sure we are the only English speaking tourists. I will give my full thoughts and waste of money soon, needless to say my kids have enjoyed cocoa beach probably the most

We did cocoa beach after an adult only day at Epcot... i couldnt reccomend it really because the ocean was FULL OF JELLYFISH!!!! Otherwise it was a cool sleepy little town with a few good restaurants.
