I'm new here and I already see some of these guys talk about their cars as if it is faster than a rocket. Some should fit right in! LOL

There was a thread here last summer.. the Street Outlaw guys were in town ready to get down with some of Detroit's fastest but Wayne County shut it down before it happened.

I remember hearing about it but never seeing anything actually happen. My guess is that they would show up, win, and our guys would end up making themselves look bad.

Yeah its awesome to see cars do pedalfest burnouts.. IE: Wormboys 6.80 radial car... what do you have against fast cars again?? Fast car is a fast car...

Nahhhhh, it just takes someone that knows what they are doing to make a car work on the street. You aren't going to make 2000+hp hook on the street anyway. If it was a small tire only deal I think it would attract more people, not everyone wants to run steam rollers on the back

You see where chief was contacted by NHRA saying if he doesn't stop promoting street racing they will pull his comp license

I know you're new here, but there are a lot of cars in the Detroit area and members on this site with cars that'll school those guys. :spank:

I like the show and watch it every week. The street racing thing is kinda a joke though. The track is lined with generator spot lights and has the wire camera like the nfl does. There is never any traffic so either its in the middle of no where or an industrial drive or something like that.

They do have some bad ass cars though thats why i watch it.

So much of the show is staged, that the NHRA really doesn't have anything to actually worry about. As Falcon64 says, Street Outlaws just want the appearance they are racing on the street and not at a small airport or industrial park or somewhere else they have permission to race on.

None of the fast guys post here anymore besides Raj. JQ puts stuff up for sale but that's it. Jimmy, Brian Davis, Mark Crank and all the others aren't on here anymore that's why the grudge section is dead now a days

Gotta give it to those guys, they know how to make those cars work on the street. I enjoy it except for the drama aspect. But that sells, so im sure it will stay. I do wish they would show the race rather than 25 different camera angles.
