disabling PATS on a mustang

I got a 00 mustang that has an 03 computer and I guess the old tune disabled the pats and the key it came with didnt have a sensor. The thing has spark but it just cranks without firing. Now how do I go about disabling the PATS? Also how would I go about getting a key programmed? I talked to my key guy and he said he never had luck with mustangs with different comptuters and could never get them to work. I got this car sitting here and not sure what I need to do to get it started.

I went through a pats problem with my lightning. Im pretty sure a majority of the hand held tuners can disable it.

The dealer can reprogram the ecu for the new pats key code, but usually that requires having the proper flash for the model year IIRC. been sometime since I dealt with the proble. You can disable PATS with most tunning software SCT, Diablo etc but you have to buy a Xcal or predator. You could also Get a custom chip with PATs disabled. Likely the cheapest of the 3 options.
