This has a 17" screen and I use it for my CAD programs - Inventor and AutoCAD - So I use a second monitor which attaches directly to the NVidia card and I use max resolution and brightness on both monitors. The battery lasts about 3 hours this way. I rarely take it out of the house and always use 2 monitors, so I don't know what the real battery life would be.

FWIW - This has the JBL speaker system and dual hard drives. The second drive is supposed to take over in case of failure. I bought a solid state drive about a year ago, so the original drives have been sitting since then, which I'll install.

I am just getting a new computer and my daughter doesn't seem to want this one...My new one should be here in about a week, or so
