Delayed Ignition

Hello everyone, I own a 1999 Camaro Z28. Over the past few weeks I have noticed that when I attempt to start my car, there is a one to two second delay before it starts. It always starts but I'm just curious as to what causes this delay. Fuel pump? Fuel Filter? Or something else. Thanks

put a fuel pressure guage on it and see how long it takes to build pressure. the anti drainback valve in the pump might be failing. Since you in west bloomfield you could swing it by the shop and I could check it for ya.
