[DEBATE] Grandholm vs. DeVos

Devos kicked her ass tonight.

I totally disagree. There was not, in my unbiased opinion, a clear winner. I think both of them looked -very- weak.

Her last little line about him investing in a nursing home cited for beating old people just sounded lame.

Her comments were outrageous. As though his family owning 1% of a company means it's their fault that some patients were abused. Give me a break.

I work for the phone company AT&T. I've been held up at gun point twice, robbed 3 times, van broken into. I have seen probably the worst detroit has to offer. Last year 3 technitions shot, numerous robbed at gun point. Just becomes a typical day were i work. I have been collecting pitures for awhle now. Nothing like walkin into someones home and "crunch" "crunch" and look down and there's a shit load of roaches. But that bitch stood on 8 mile and woodward talking about how she was "in detroit" doing an interview.
Here's some of my picures wish she would do an interview here

Agreed. If anything I think Devos won by looking slightly less politician like, as wooden as repetitious as he was...

Perhaps, he is obviously not experienced behind the camera and under the lights.

You could tell he was tripping on his words a little bit out of nervousness.

I don't think either candidate articulated a clear plan on how they will lead Michigan to victory.

I agree
i just think some people are getting desperate. I was talking to the wife last night about it. And if something doesn't turn around i might have to put in for a transfer down south. my pay has almost been cut in half. with all the job losses it effects everyone. Even though i'm not unemployed (yet) the unemployed effect eveyone who is employed.

He went one hour toe to toe with a career politician. A draw is a victory for Devos. She should have walked all over him - she has been a politician for 20 years. She has been in numerous debates too.

She was disrespectful. She kept interupting him and would not stop talking when asked. He was polite and never interupted and let her finish her statement before repling. Being respectful and polite goes along way!!!!

Proof positive we live in a state full of morons (or pervasive media bias):

"Granholm won the debate," said Marlene Sterling, 52, of Lambertsville.

"My mother had Alzheimer's, so I know a little something about nursing homes, good and bad.

"It sounded like DeVos was trying to sidestep the issue of the nursing home stuff. She zinged him with that."

Still, Sterling isn't ready to pledge her vote to Granholm.

"I want more information," she said.

Retired Detroit bus driver Darrell Stewart, 53, said Granholm "scored a knockout punch when she got on DeVos about the nursing home investment."

:gives:
