Dad's new toy

Mathews Solo-cam Z7 to be exact. It's one bad bitch! Has an amazing 80% let-off. Meaning, when you pull it back, you are only feeling 80% of the 65lbs draw rating. I held it back just to see how long until my arm started to get sore and I gave up after 3 minutes out of sheer boredom. Can only do that for about 20-25 seconds with my Pantera. He has more into his sight setup than I do into my Martin Pantera total!

Best news (for me) out of all of this is he gave me his Mathews Q2. It's about 7 years old, but is still a very nice setup. My "new" Q2!

Moving up from this, my dad's old Martin Pantera. Notice a trend here? I get his old bows... I guess in 5-7 years I get the Z7.

Yes that is a nice Bow, but is as much as a Nice new 30.06 Rifle with nice scope, plus ammo!

I have pulled that bow back and yes very sweet! I just keep going back to Damn, I have to spend a Grand to have it with all the accessories needed.

I think MSRP is $900 on the Z7. Might of even paid more since its apparently the hottest bow out right now and its only been out a few weeks. His sights were another $200. Then you have to add in the little stuff like silencers, peep sight, kisser button, and a new set of carbon arrows ($100)

Dad isn't much into guns. He has a 50 cal muzzle loader and is looking at getting a 12ga for bird. He hunts turkey, rabbit, coyote, deer, and when he gets his permit bear with his bow. We've got a 3D course set up outback with 27 targets. Each year it gets more and more out of hand. He has a tower and even a bar back there. I shit you not....

Very bad ass man! I was checking the Z7 out when I was at the sporting goods store picking up ammo last weekend. I'd love to have a bow like that someday. I still shoot an old school, fullsize, compound like your Martin Pantera you posted.
