GM seriously failed on that power steering reservoir and the oil filter adapter.

Other than that those motors are awesome. There's 2 people over on the Beretta boards that stuffed those in a Beretta.

those are bad ass cars, my buddy had a 2000 gtp with a 66mm turbo on it, all stock with just some rockers and a built trans with a stall, and it was almost into the 11s on drag radials, he just had some bugs to work out but it was capable of 11s. but then the tranny took a shit on him twice so he got ri of it.

X2! I work at an oil change place part time and they SUCK! Working in the pit is horrible while trying to get those oil filters. The only thing worse than a GM 3800 for changing a filter is the early 90's northstars. The filter is on the stop side of the engine but right under the exhaust. There is no way in hell you aren't guarenteed to burn your hand. Th

oil filter is a pain in the ass on the GM 2.2s as well

The non supercharged 3800's were 100X better. They came off the back of the block just above the trans. SUPER easy compared to those. Although, a DIY'er would find those nice. Back when I did the oil change gig I found it easier to get the filter through the wheel well. Just turn the wheel all the way to the right and there it is....

The absolute Worst vehicle i have ever changed oil filter in was my 1991 Buick regal special with the 3.8l TPI. It literally was so close to the firewall in the passenger corner that i could not get a oil filter wrench on.

That was the only car that i have owned that absolutely EVERYTHING sucked to work on
