CTS-V coupe?

That CTS is camo'ed mostly because once something gets camo'd, it rarely gets the camo removed. Especially when it has preproduction lights. Those pre production lights look like ass and the camo serves as a cover to keep you from seeing that stuff.

Doesn't explain the success of the new Charger, does it? ;)

I don't like how everything has to be "retro" ... I don't understand some of these people who feel the new Corvette's non-flipup headlights destroy it's looks... I think it's badass myself, and part of the evolution of the car.

When you take a break from production for nearly 30 years, it's tough to show the evolution of the body... Look at the Camaro/Firebird from 1967 until 2002, you can see the body evolve.

That'd be like looking at the 1972 Camaro and the 2002 Camaro -- without anything in between to show it's evolution, people probably would have thought the 02 Camaro looked like shit as well :)

I agree 100 percent. Now sometimes the evolution goes the wrong way. Like some of the 90's cars are ugly. This is my personal opinon, now I know guys on this forum drive this car and do not take this the wrong way. The camaro after 93 up until 02 was ugly. Then The chevelles from 74-78 ugly, but I really like the direction these cars today are going. And I do like retro looks to the new cars, but some of these new designs are the SHIT!! Everytime I see a new 2010 camaro I just sit and stare like a retard. I really like the direction these car companys are going and I cant wait to see more.

05-06 had the ls2... a very nice engine imo. they should have used a different name for it... like the pontiac "M3 killer" maybe that woulda worked or how about some advertising

I didn't care what they called it. It was everything that I wanted/needed in a DD/track car. 2 doors, 4 usable seats, LS2, 6-speed, RWD, comfortable, well balanced (after a few key suspension mods), and quicker than Mustangs on every track I've taken it.

I wont say the GTO should have looked retro....i vote to keep evolving the looks of cars.

But the GTO looks like a cross between a cavalier and a 2door grand prix....i agree, it should have been labeled a 2door grand prix or something else. I love the drive line and the interior of it....but the exterior doesnt match its name nor its purpose.
it shoulda been called the G8 actually

I can't afford one but would love to pick one up used someday, unfortunately it will be impossible to find one of the 5 that would actually sell if they do make production.

wont stop BOTH of us from looking!!

V-wagon =

In the future to get a V wagon it will probalby be easier to find: base wagon with a blown motor + rear ended manual transmission V sedan or coupe = win.

Lucky 7, I also want a V Wagon.
I think my kids would ride in it without hiding their identity, although that may be due to riding with me, not necessarily the car we're in. :-(

I just found this article at Car & Driver's website;

Bob Lutz Says Cadillac CTS-V Sport Wagon is Definitely Coming - Car News
Pick your poison! Incredible 556-hp CTS-V available “any way you want.”

November 2009
GM’s vice chairman Bob Lutz has confirmed that the 556-hp Cadillac CTS-V wagon will indeed become a production reality. Lutz dropped the W-bomb during a recent one-on-one interview while discussing how to prime the market for cool cargo haulers—like a possible Buick Regal wagon—especially among the over-35 set that grew up traumatized by wood-paneled Grand Marquis and Chrysler K-car wagon-trocities. Then Lutz said, “You know what’s really going to get you guys [on board with wagons] is the CTS-V wagon.”

“Oh, has the wagon been confirmed?” we asked, already aware that the hot-rod CTS would also be available as a coupe. “Yes,” he replied, “You’ll be able to get the CTS-V any way you want.”

As avowed wagon lovers, we kept an external cool, but inside, we were overjoyed. After all, with its 0–60 time of 3.9 seconds and beefy looks, the CTS-V sedan has been a huge favorite of ours since its debut, and we can’t wait to see how the CTS-V coupe looks and drives when it finally appears next year. But this was the first we’d heard anyone willing to go on record actually confirming the wagon. Speculation and rumors, yes, but nothing official. (Of course, given Maximum Bob’s flair for the dramatic and his claim this summer that the Pontiac G8 would live on as the Chevrolet Caprice—which didn’t happen—we’ll wait to fully exhale until we receive an actual press release on the topic.)

While Lutz didn’t provide a time frame for this most capacious CTS-V’s arrival, we wholeheartedly applaud GM’s decision to give it the green light, as such a powerful wagon can only help the brand build credibility in Europe. (The whole “ridiculously powerful wagons are super kick-ass” thing has us pretty excited, too.) Indeed, Europe is where wagons rule, and once launched on the Continent, the CTS-V wagon—bet on an official name of CTS-V Sport Wagon—would be second only to the 580-hp Audi RS6 Avant in the power wars, and with its 551 lb-ft of torque, the Caddy would be in a class by itself. As for its prospects over here, can you say, “Cult Caddy?”

I love the cts v coupe that's thing is bad ass.....

and as far as I'm concerned the new gto was a disgrace to the gto name plate

even though i love the new gots but i have more love for the old school, its not what my idea of a gto should have been...

I think some wagons are pretty sweet and that the CTS-V would be neat as a wagon, they just haven't sold very well in the past here in the U.S. though right?

in my opinion it was a disgrace to the old GTO. i agree that it should have been the new grand prix, taking it back to the old RWD style. at lease then they would be good for something more than smoke shows. i think the performance numbers of the new one where alright, but i wouldn't call it fast by any means. IMO a "performance" car should be in the 12s. it seems to me like nowadays car companies call anything with a V8 and a rumbling exhaust a sports car. the new camaro SS, bad ass car, would love to have one, but they are not fast in stock form. from what i can find, a stock GTO was a 13.2 car (from the couple vids i found) is it respectable, yeah. is it fast? not IMO.

i personally would take an '02 Camaro SS and pocket the money for mods over a GTO.
