Crown vic maintenence questions

Since I got a permanent ban from crownvic.net I cant post there lol.

I need to clean the MAF (actually have a marauder 80mm maf and dyno tune to support) can I use non-chlorinated brake cleaner? I have tried a million times with MAF cleaner with no results, voltage is at like .9v and should be around .5v I have read mixed reviews on using brake cleaner.

Also, how can I test the flow of each fuel injector to make sure they are all flowing 100%? Sonic cleaning? Where can I get that done and is it worth it rather than buying new ones?

I am trying to track down a slight misfire and I have replaced COP's with Accell's, new EGR/DPFE/ and cleaned TB and upper plenum with a toothbrush. Checked for vacuum leaks at major sources with no negative findings.

Any help is appreciated.

How in the hell did you get banned from CVN? That place has a wealth of knowledge and is probably your best bet at tracking down the issue.

If i say it here, I will probably get banned. They are a bunch of prude people over there running it and everything has to be politically correct.

Self control my friend! A lot of forums are run that way.. unfortunately if you don't act right they give you the boot.

On topic, i would say if MAF cleaner didn't correct the issue with the MAF then you need to get another MAF sensor.

I should have been warned ahead of time as it states in the rules and regulations. I had been a member for 5 years and help out people on a daily basis.

Well, I have a new Ford marauder maf on the way (they are discontinued from ford but my parts guy found 8 remaining in an obsolete warehouse) but I wanted to see if I could salvage my original if at all possible. Also I think I have a small exhaust leak at the manifold to cat pipe that could be causing some rough idle, I need to tighten up the bolts a little.

Mine leaks on the passenger side manifold at the head. They all do it. I don't have any rough idle or drivability issues. Also those Accel COP's are pretty much Chinese junk. You might look into getting a coil boot kit to see if that fixes it.

People on CVN had good results with them, I wanted to try these before dropping like 350 on new Motorcraft COP's vs ACCEL at 189 dollars. My stock ones are all worn out anways. I am just being very anal with the car and seems to only do it when engine is hot and has been running for a while. I think it is MAF because the PCM doesn't use the MAF during warm up to measure A/F so it makes me think it is MAF.

I don't really have driveability issues just anal retentive issues lol.

I will be driving to Kentucky in a couple weeks and I wanted to get best MPG as possible. I went down last year at this time and get 24MPG with alot of car work not done. Now I have done a TON of maintenance and gained 2-3MPG in the city and want to see how much I gain on my trip.
