Crazy wreck in vegas

That was the craziest shit. I saw the thread on YB was already up like 2 seconds after it happened.

(i hosted it on youtube so everyone didn't have to download it.)

that is insane! i'd have shit my pants.

damn , i was like he didnt hit that hard.............then shit he must of got ktfo..crazy for shure

Yeah, they said he was unconscious when they got to him. He just rung his bell on the cage I think. The scary thing to consider is, what would have happened if he was pointed towards the starting line, and his foot wasn't on the brake?

Wow!! I thought you were just talking about the Garret turbo car going off the track. This is just as nuts.

could u imagine sitting in the burnout box and him coming towards u .

That has happened before and the son of the driver was killed by the driver along the driver herself. Insane.

On April 2, 2005, something did indeed happen to the 59-year old Mrs. Howard while testing at Tulsa Raceway Park. About half way through a run down the quarter mile track, the nose of Mrs. Howard dragster lifted into the air (called a blowover wheelstand) and continued to race down the track, then came on over 180 degrees landing with such force it is speculated that Mrs. Howard was knocked unconscious. Although the dragster was now facing the starting line, the sheer momentum of the run propelled it across the finish line and then some 1500 feet beyond that. Then, with an unconcious pilot and the throttle wide open, the dragster's rear wheels gained traction, and it started hurtling towards the starting line (I couldn't find anything that said so, but my guess is that while the car was in the "blowover", it pivoted on its axis and came down right side up, not upside down like I first thought). At about 125' past the starting line, the dragster, estimated by some to have been traveling in excess of 200 mph by this time, plowed into the station wagon used by Mrs. Howard's team as a tow vehicle. In the backseat of the car sat Brian Howard. The impact is said to have killed mother and son instantly (although one report said Brain died later in the hospital), both were ejected from their vehicles. The force of the collision sent the dragster and station wagon an additional 225', through a burnout wall and into an open area. The dragster was so thoroughly destroyed that its telemetry unit or "black box" was rendered useless. Her husband, Dr. Paul Howard was a helpless witness to the entire tragedy from the stands.
