Crate engine help

[1989Formula]

I was wondering if anybody has experience with this motor / blueprint motors in general

I assume it just uses a standard chevy HEI. Does anybody know if a flywheel off a 1 piece rear main will bolt up or do i need a different one ?

IIRC, a flywheel from a 1 piece seal crank will not bolt up to a 2 piece seal crank.

I believe bolt patterns and/or the centering hub on the crank is different..

I dont believe the 2 piece mains are a real problem.....I have also believe i have heard that the crank to flywheel is different though.....I, however am not THAT knowlegable about chebbys.

Crank flange is different between 1 piece and 2 piece blocks.

I was afraid of that. Can i use an 86 and prior f-body flywheel?

Flex plates are cheap and 2 pc mains were used for over 30 years in small blocks. Just sayin'.

Yes if you get the proper flywheel.

I dont have anything against a 2 piece its just the trans i got was sitting behind a 1 peice

The transmission cares not what flywheel is infront of it.
