"Coupon people"

I'm guessing you are talking about that extreme couponing show and yeah I'd tend to agree its a fucking full time job!

If you had a smart wife, wait did I catually say smart and wife together, she could put time and effort into somehting like that and save you $$$.

I thinks its retarded. I understand trying to save $$, but all that is going to accomplish is companies not putting out coupons or stores not honoring them.

Why cant people do something without taking advantage?

So you saved $170. How many hours did it take to compile the coupons, search the cheapest deal at the store, and then waste the cashiers time going through them. Your/my time is worth $$ too, and it seriously fucks with the people waiting in line behind you.

total time maybe 30 minutes, sunday paper clip coupons for stuff we use drive to kroger in howell (they double to 1.00) Not that hard wife goes in middle of day when nobodys there.

I don't think coupons are bad at all. As long as you go into the store with a mission, and with every coupon that you are going to use in hand and ready. Searching your coupon book for something you think you have is annoying.

I have a Kroger and CVS card. That's as close to a coupon as I come. If I had a stay at home wife, you can bet she would be clipping them. She's gotta earn her keep some how. :)

Mine was a pro at "couponing" before it hit mainstream. I can't remember the last time we actually paid for laundry detergent, soap, deodorant, or toothpaste.

I have some coupon fiends in the family. They get a ton of shit free but it's useless or stuff they would never buy in the first place.

I guess, but IMO its just a smarter version of stealing. Its not like the mfr or grocery store want you to get that shit for absolute free. I'm all for saving money, but does that seem like something that will last forever?

Its a loophole that you are taking advantage of, how is it THAT different from what alot of welfare/low income people do to stay on govt assistance? Thats a jump I realize, but just my opinion. I'm just annoyed that every time I go to buy a galon of milk I have to stand behind a couponing dipshit taking 1/2 hour of my time to get shit for free.

manufactures put out coupons for a reason, the grocery store gets the money back when they turn them in to the manufacturer. Seems logical to me to use them, who cares how many someone uses.

My question: Where do you find coupons??????????? I have never used a coupon a day in my life. Where do you find them?????????????????????

sunday paper, online at the product website, kelloggs is great they always have 1.00 off coupons , doubled thats 2.00 off a box of cereal when it goes on sale for 2.50 a box .50 cents a box for cerial

x2. My wife started getting into this stuff a few years back. I'm pretty sure she finds most of her stuff on the internet actually. I'm glad she does it, its saves us a lot in the long run.

having 2 kids coupons really help right now theres a coupon book on keebler displays for 2.00 off milk with the purchase of 2 boxes of eggo waffles, eggos are on sale for 2 boxes for 5.00 and milk is 2.50 a gallon so 7.50, after coupons Im at 1.50 for 2 boxes of waffles and a gallon of milk,

Oddly people still make money even after cupons are used.

So why not just eliminate cupons all together. Remove all cupon style advertising from your budget and put that money into reducing the cost of items sold, or split the difference of current and marked down. So that it's always moderately cheap.

The extreme couponing people are nuts though. What the hell are you going to do with 60 bottles of mustard?

seriously, I like to live by the "if i don't need it, get rid of it" mentality. I'm sure alot of these extreme coupon people will be on an episode of hoarders in the near future.
