Looks decent but the 60 foot is still crap, 1.87 and 1.89 on those passes.
Launching from 4000 then 4200. Quick release, not a side step or dump.
Not bogging maybe minimal spin.
Track prep was decent.
ET Streets have maybe 10 passes on them, this time I set them at 14psi cold.

Previous best was 1.80 back in Feb, this was at Maryland Intl Raceway which has top notch prep and air during the winter months

I noticed I'm definitely hitting the bump spots, rear was dirty before now 2 clean spots.

my car is:
99 SS 6spd with 132k miles. stock internal ls1(still has the ls1 intake and 853 heads), stock shocks and springs, typical bolts ons major one being 9 inch w/4.11, long tubes, hi flow cats through the stock SS cat back, lid, lca, umi tq arm relocated off the trans. And I tuned it off the narrowbands, couldn't get my wideband working at the time. Stock weight.
pinion angle -2 seemed to yield the least vibration so that is where I left it.
LCA's are in the lowest hole of the relocation bracket.

I had thought I could get down into the low 1.7x range.

Any thoughts or tips what I could try as it sits to get a better 60' foot.

Thanks.

I'm more concern with the 60 foot right now.

Yesterday's best was: (1/8th mile track)
1.87
8.29 @ 84.9

Previous:
1.80
8.21/ 84.79
12.77/ 108.9

I always run my tire pressure around 10psi and it bumps up a small bit after the burn out. Drop to 10 psi and launch at 5200.

Our cars are too heavy for 10psi

I went 1.46 with those tires 16-17psi
What holes are the TA in?
2nd gear burnouts?

remove front sway bar, play with tire pressure, 13 - 16 psi. A lighter front wheel/tire combo would help. Put some nitrous on it. Dump that clutch

UMI suggested the top hole on the relocation braket for the front so that is where it's at for now.
1st gear burnouts, no line lock.

Are you getting them heated to where some good smoke is rolling off of them? A first gear burnout with 4.10s isn't spinnging them that fast, may want to try second gear. If they are heated properly they should be sticky enough to handle every pony you have, and a 4500rpm quick slip should put you in the 1.7s at least. You said you have a 9", hopefully you have a PST driveshaft or an upgrade from the stocker.

What clutch are you running? The lighter clutches need significant more launch RPM. You'd be amazed how many LS7 guys went from launching at 4k stock clutch to 5500+on aftermarket. Just another variable to think about.

Is the car stock height? If so I would try and go down 1 hole in the TQ arm and up 1 hole in the LCA's

Definetly remove the front sway bar. Is the car kickin to the side on launch? Its hard to tell from the pics but it appears that the left side is quite a bit higher than the right. You may need to put a bag in the right rear, or easier yet, preload the rear swaybar to get it coming up flat.

Monster stage III, thought was getting pretty good smoke.
3.5 PST DS.

I'll try 2nd gear burnouts.

thanks everyone

i was able to pull low mid to low 1.8s on all bone stock suspension, stock 3.42, with nitto DRs on the stock 16s just rollin the clutch fast. i think the key is to get the tires heated properly, and i definitely agree with everybody else to do a second gear burnout and wait to get some smoke rolling off.

and also for the six speed cars i see everybody usually goes with a stiff sidewall slick, something else to consider also
