Could really use some help!

Well.....here's my shot at a first post!

I have a 93 Notch that I'm having an issue with.

Here's the info on the motor:

351w bored 60 over.
SRP forged flat top pistons.
Eagle H-beam 43/40 rods.
Eagle 43/40 crank 350 stroke.
Probe main girdle.
ARP rod bolts and main studs.
Millens high volume oil pump.
ARP oil pump rod.
Competition 577/596 lift cam.
Aluminum heads with 205/160 valves 210cc runners and 60cc chambers.
Competition pro mag rocker arms.
Competion mag push rods.
Ford Motorsport intake.
AED Holley (4150) 750 4 barrel double pumper carburetor.
Aeromotive 1000 fuel pump, regulator and fuel filter.
MSD pro billet distributor.
MSD 6AL ignition.

Car runs really strong and either late this season or next I hope to start racing it. The issue is that if I drive it for awhile and raise the engine temp to say 190 degrees and then shut it off.....the damn thing won't start until it cools back down. But once it's cool, it fires right off!

I run 32/33 degrees of total advance in the timing and a fuel mixture of 1:1 110/93.

I personally believe that my issue could be with the placement of the fuel pressure regulator and and the fuel lines from it to the carb. I'm think that it may be getting a bit hot being over the headers and could be vapor locking......possibly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh damn...my bad.

It'll crank fine, sounds like it's getting no spark, but it is, and fuel is visible in the bowls as well as is coming from the squirters.

They are set now from the build.

They need to be adjusted, just haven't done it.

there's no chance you have them to tight and whne everything heats up its holding the valves open just a lil?

Also did u actually verify there is spark at the plugs when the no start condition is present?

Yep, I sure did!

I think you may have hit the nail on the head with the valve lash needing adjustment.......I'm going to give it a shot!

Thanks and I'll let you know what I came up with.
