So, what was the point of mentioning Kalitta air? They fly out of Willow Run, which is apparently 50 miles (34, but new isn't news unless there's hyperbole disguised as fact) from Detroit.
I'd be up for it if there was a strip closer than Milan, and it could be a good mixed-use site. Move the Detroit GP there, add grandstands, retain small aircraft etc, like Cleveland does with Burke Lakefront Airport, which is only a bit larger.
