merkur xr4ti. it was made by ford in germany. they only brought over so many of them for the american market. 86-89 i believe. its cool cause all the body panels are welded on too. there great cars. i have one sitting in my backyard right now, im doing a full rebuild on the motor. the motor i got for it turned out to be a lemon
 
Bigwheelinbubba had a mildly built one back in the day...we used to go out on Gratiot and tear it up. Nobody knew what they were till the rice craze took over.
 
I have an 88, it is alot of fun to drive. when I tell people about the car, and they don't know what it is, I always tell them it looks like an escort on steroids. it definately is a sleeper. I love pulling up to ricers. alot of them have no idea what it is, or what it is capable of.
 
If I had one Id have to go with the 2.3L with a Volvo DOHC cylinder head swap...and lots 'o boost :D.
 
I didnt look too close, does it have the stock differential? That would last about 3 twin turbo launches....
