im thinking about putting this motor in this car and make a pro touring car out of it, probly putting 20" rims in the back and 18's or 19's in the front. i figure people put chevys in fords, why not put a ford in a buick?

I would have to think about putting that engine in such a nice old Buick. But I can say for sure you should NOT put 18s and 20s on that car... The wheels on it now look nice. Why make it look ghettotastic?

I don't think that motor is a good match, but if you added a positive displacement blower to add a bunch of torque it would work better.

That car is really really cool though. Maybe an EFI converted big block buick with a procharger would be cool for a pro touring version.

I'd love to get one of those old GS cars one day.

well im definitely not going for the ghetto look there will be heavy suspension mods with a miny tub and the wheels nicely tucked. i dont have the motor yet but when i do choose one there will deffinitely be some forced induction. my car isnt a real GS, i will be selling my grand national in a couple of months and i was going to put most of the money in the other car

this isnt the same type of car but this is the attitude i will be going for

LSx engines would give you better resale value in your G-Machine there. There are plenty of them already in the older cars. And plenty with superchargers or turbochargers so you can see what others have done. Search the conversion forum on LS1tech for some reference material.

That's a great look right there... With the wheels tubbed and tucked it will look great.

I would put an LSx in that thing, too.

i would love to go with a fuel injected procharged 455 but the cost to build a buick motor in that way is WAY to expensive.

build yourself a nice ls1 and call it a day. thats why i got out of GN's...4k in a motor rebuild was outrageous when you can build a newer motor that wont leak for half the cost and makes as much power before the boost even hits
