Cookie Monster build thread

The build is amazing but I would have to agree that equal length efforts might yield negligible horsepower gains, it might even net horsepower losses (although still negligible) due to extra heat loss. It does look pretty cool though with the pipes going everywhere.

I think those things are going to put a TON of heat in the engine bay... I love the car, but I just don't get those headers at all.

Weak!

That thing is badass. I'm with you on the EL headers though. When I switched to an EL header on my subie the horsepower gain was huge, and the power curve was MUCH better as well, no other subie had that kind of power curve or even peak power with the stock turbo. If you have a cowl hood or functional ram air WS6 hood I wouldn't worry about heat, and I'm sure you're running either Meth or Eth so it doesn't matter anyway ;)

Might be more to do with the design and volume of the headers rather than being equal length.

I wont. I don't need it. We had NO issues with the same setup under a stock hood. :D

In theory, wrapping or coating the header should help with spool. I'd be curious tho to see if it actually made an ET or MPH difference for you in the long run. Run it like it is now for a year or two, then coat it, see if anything happens.

Updates.
