Anyone work/know someone at Consumers energy?....I am deal with complete idiots saying i am stealing gas.....BTW i am stealing gas and paying the bills i receive every month....They shut off my gas and are threatening to take my meter

So you're stealing gas and paying for it anyways? Why not just get the gas in your name and pay it properly?

LoL....It is in my name and i am paying it properly...that was meant as a joke on the situation....they are accusing me of stealing gas yet sending me a bill every month in my name that are being paid

Ah ok, I'm horrible at noticing sarcasm on the interwebs. I don't work for consumers/know someone that does, my only suggestion would be to ask to speak with a supervisor etc.

I know how you feel buddy... Fighting with them now... Trying to get the meter moved... They put it on the driveway side... And it overhangs slightly... I want it move because it's a acciedent waiting to happen... They refuse and want 1k to move it...

Shit they are telling me i owe $818 for them not to take my meter......I have no idea WTH is going on and no one can really answer...and the Supervisor is taking their time calling back

Maybe someone stole your identity and you have a bill somewhere else? I would just block the meter with something until you get it resolved. Park your car or something equally bad in front of it. Those lazy bastards wouldn't read my meter for three months because there was a rose bush a little too close, so try to find some thorny sticks and pile them up.

If you're paying on it, get out all your past copies, or print them off the web and show you've paid...
Have them point out where the mix up is and see what happens, if you can prove you've paid for it then it should be no problem.

Yeah it sounds like you need to show proof of paid bills and let them track down what is going on in their system. Proof from your bank account (if auto bill pay) or copies of cancelled checks is hard for them to refute. And don't wait for the supervisor to call you back. They never will. Get on the phone and demand to talk to one and wait for them to come on the line.

Is it in violation of building code? If so, its on there dime or the builders. If not, then its a preference thing and your pretty much responsible. Unless a city truck backs into it.

talked to the regular office and they emailed the bills and bills paid over to the theft investigations....showed everything has been paid and the bills are being sent....

What happened? You can't not say anything now!

x2 Got my popcorn and everything..

I found out the hard way that the water bill goes with the address, not the subscriber. I had tennants that walked out on $850 worth of water bill. Then the water company charged me $375 to replace the valve at the curb because it was broken when they went to shut off my water..

Looking into that now... I want it removed regardless... So if it's within code I'll move it...

You try getting all cut up to read that shit! If you're too lazy to trim your bushes I'm too lazy to read your meter!
I rarely skip a meter because of bushes, but sometimes its ridiculous...lol
I got a huge cut on my face cause i had to lean into a bush to get a read, when i withdrew a thorn got caught on my hood, and ended up dragging the whole damn branch across my face..
When you're a mile from your car with nothing to fix yourself with, its no fun! :)
Ok, your house is one of 500-1200 im going to be reading today while walking in between 7-12 miles.... call me lazy now! lol :))

It took me four months to figure out the thorn bush was why he was skipping it! The Consumer's guy left a tiny note in the mailbox on my front porch. The problem is that the mail to my house goes to the mailbox curbside so I never got the note! It was pretty bad, though, can't blame the guy. One of those things I never look at, and I rarely even go back there.

Speaking of Consumers Energy morons - the stupid fucks left my gate open and my pup got out. Thank god I saw him before he got hit by a car.
