Considering a 351 swap..

I know theres tons of threads on this, but mine is a tad different in some aspects.
Ok, I never really checked into this swap untill my buddy told me that's its really easy and cheap to do.

At the moment, I have a 94GT with a 95 Cobra motor. It seems Cobra motors are selling for a pretty penny.

I'm not into building engines and such. I take this car to the track alot, and drive it on the street even more. I need to know what decision to make by the weekend because I'm suppose to do a cam swap and nitrous install on my car this weekend.

As stated, I'd be looking at doing a stock swapped 351.

Should I go with a 351W or 351C?
Should I go fuel injected or carb? (i hate wrenching on my stuff, I'm a drive and go type of guy)
If I go fuel injected, do I use my stock ecu or the one provided? How will this affect things like my gauges?
I've been seeing 70s 351W go on craigslist for about $250. Should I go with an older motor, or a newer, roller motor?
Will I need a taller hood?
What's all needed? I was told a 28oz flywheel, possible different headers.
Is this swap worth doing, even though it's a stock swap?

Currently, my setup will be good for 11's. I'm not sure what gains I would see in the 351 swap, which is where I'm trying to educate myself on this.
I can eventually build from this, but it would be a stock swap for now, as I don't even have an engine stand to build a motor, nor the time or want to.

Thanks!

Honestly I think the cobra motor is better then a stock 351w out of a truck or any other non performance based application that you would get for $250. I also wouldn't trust a motor i got from someone i'd have to go threw it or have someone else go threw it to make sure it checks out okay. Would really suck to spend all that time and have the motor be junk.

You will need different headers. I think only 3 companies make conversion headers for an SN95 with a 351w. Kooks, Bassani, and Mac. Other then that you have to get custom ones made.

You'll need a foxbody oil pan as well for the 351w.

I'd keep the setup you have and just save money and do the 351w motor right.

x2 Don't waste your time if you're just going to go w/ a stock 351w. Soundslike you have some good parts alreay for the 302. Go w/ the nitrous kit and cam and have fun!

I'd do a compression test to make sure it's legit, but I see what you mean. I was just looking to see if I could start out on a better platform. I could always pull the motor next winter, and build it from there. My intention was to swap it and drive it through this season, then build it come winter.
It's a street car, so I don't need to get all crazy with bore and stroke. Just a cam swap, and spray for now.

Honestly i think if you swapped it you'd be unhappy the car would be much slower if your actually in the 11's with the current setup. Keep the setup for this season and build the 351w on the side for next year. That will give you time to try to find good deals on used parts. If you do it now you'll be rushing to finish it and end up buying the little odds and ends brand new. thats just my opinion though :D

Just do a ton of research figure out what you want EFi or carb and make a list of parts. I usually check about 4 or 5 sites for parts everyday looking for the odds and ends I need.

I checked the SN forums, I'd go with an EFI setup. I don't' really have cash to lay down on an engine build. The 351 would be a H/C/I car, whether I swapped it now, or in the winter. I'm just not into cars as much as I am racing quads, where I spend alot of cash. I guess you could say my car is a "budget build".
