Comcast

That's exactly what I was thinking while reading this.

My internet speed with WOW blows compared to when I had Comcast. The customer service has never really been bad with WOW though.

I don't find WOW's speeds lacking, while it isn't that of Comcast, it's plenty good enough for what I do. No issues gaming, Netflix, torrents, Usenet, etc. The best thing anybody could do, regardless of speed, is implement QoS (quality of service). With QoS, you can prioritize traffic on the router, so things such as web browsing, DNS, HTTPS, etc are allocated more bandwidth on the fly than things such as downloading and whatnot. I can do torrenting and Usenet while playing games no issue. Without QoS, it was pretty unbearable.

Comcast will find anything to charge you about, service calls etc, bill you before first month is up

I did the same as Geoff above but I hate direct TV. Worst decision ever. I can't wait for my 2 years to be up to go back to Comcast. For how horrible the cs is, the picture and on demand make it worth it...

What ? Directv is so much better than Comcast. Been with Dtv since 2004 and haven't looked back.

And the picture quality is way better. Must be something with your TV ;)

I have to agree with this.

the lack of OnDemand is a killer. It shouldnt even be considered OnDemand. Its horrible. The price isnt that much cheaper than Comcast. My satelite reception is great, no trees, no houses, no nothing in the way. Clear line of sight. On a heavy rain day, i lose signal. The remote/box response is so bad i literally want to throw the remote against a wall. I press a button, 10 seconds later it appears on the tv. Then you have to wait it out, or you get in a cycle of pressing buttons and the wrong ones popping up on the tv.

fucking getting mad just thinking about.

I have on demand with my DirecTV - I think you have to have the Genie system to get it though. I rarely lose signals, but it does happen once in a while. That Genie is nice with the 1 TB hard drive.

That's why I refused to deal with comcast. Everyone seems to have customer service issues. Direct tv is great. I think I only lost signal 2 times this year. Which one was a power outage and other was a hell of a storm, so rented a movie and was all set.

x2 I have Direct, but I do keep comcrap for my internet, $19.99 for the 5mb service which is plenty.

ok do this. Set your native to off. This will leave your res at 1080. If you have native on, the receiver has to change to whatever res the station is broadcasting. This should speed it up. Otherwise I've had no issues with any of my receivers. I have two HR24s and a H25.

What's super weird about your pic above is I have the exact same console....lol.

Great choice. I'll give that a shot, but I seriously hate direct TV with a passion from months of dealing with this shit.

cancelled comcast 2 years ago and use my antenna for over the air programming. Dont miss much, but for the 75-125 i save a month I dont complain.

Just in case you get so frustrated you want to go "speak" to someone in person, there is a huge Comcast office on VanDyke between 15 & 16 mile in Sterling Heights. You may need to get creative as I think they have metal detectors at the door!

As a side note, I got rid of Comcast years ago. Any of the dish providers are better. I have AT&T Uverse now and I actually like their service. They also do a bundle with a home phone.

That one on van Dyke is well known.... The one that isn't is on m59 and romeo plank.....not very known about so it isn't packed all the time. Doesn't even show up if you Google Comcast.....its an xfinity location.

I just noticed that one the other day...I have two digital adapters I need to return and save myself $4 a month.
