COMCAST... LOWER your internet bill

I have 2 comcast accounts and have been a great customer. I closed one of the accounts, and the customer service rep asked if there was anything else I needed. I jokingly said Yes, lower my bill on my other account.

She pulls it up, reviews it and asks about internet usage. Basically I do email, search internet, and occassionally download things.

She then said that Comcasts offers a special deal for EXISTING customers only in my position. Basically, it's called a "value tier" offer.
They internet connection is SLOWER than regular cable, but still much faster than dial up or DSL (have dsl at work).
The price is about 1/3 of what regular cable internet costs.

catches:
1. Must be existing user
2. Is slower than regular cable, but still very fast (not certain the speed)
3. they DO NOT advertise this program, so you have to ask for it.

I think I'm saving about $30/month now. multiply that my 12 months.... that equals a few mods for the truck.

$45 for me also and this includes my Modem Rental, but I am fortunate that my work compensates me 100% and cuts me a check when I put it on my Expense Form for the entire $45 per mo.:wink: but being on call 24/7 - well????

I have internet there as a Christmas Present for my mother last year... I think I'll renew it every year.
SHe has Basic cable (not the bottom basic, but one step up) and internet.
I am fairly certain for internet I pay right around $20/month including modem rental.

which makes sense if some of you are paying $45/month...

You can get it as a new customer, you just don't get all their advertised deals on it because it's already their "value tier". I went through this with them a while back because most of them are retarded.

If WOW services your area and you have comcast it is easy to get a discounted rate on internet service.

Just call the 1800# and ask to speak to someone is customer retention. Tell them that you are happy wit comcast service but can get service chaeper from WOW.

They will give you a sales pitch on how comcast is faster, just jab back with "I only use my internet to check email and rarely use it". They will usually offer up something in the $24 range for a six month period. Sometimes it doesn't work on the first try, just hang up and call back.

I have been doing this for the past 3 1/2 years.
