Combustion chamber question... (Motor apart)

What do little crystal like things near the exhaust ports mean? They look and feel like little pieces of table salt. They are mainly on the head, near the exhaust ports.

I had a slightly leaking head gasket, and I'm running water meth inj.(In case that may be the cause) I don't think I was buring any coolant, because under boost I would have pressurized the coolant track and most likely blown coolant everywhere, and I never burned any oil, nor did I find any milky oil.

Any ideas?
 
Thought about taking pics, but hands were messy so I just cleaned the head up. Everything looked good. No signs of detonation, or any bad wear so I'm happy, but Im thinking it could have been coolant and/or a little oil leaking into the chamber.

Just thinking out loud. It could be a combo or water/meth, oil and some mopar organic coolant with cylinder pressures of 150 crank HP per cylinder.
