Well technically nothing holds them down. They snap down on the plug then the coil cover simply goes on top of them and secures to the valve cover.

all the newer sohc cops will interchange, and all the newer dohcs will interchange, but the sochs and the dohc won't interchange with each other

These are 2v COP's.

The polarity is backwards on the 4v ones so they cant be used unless you switch the wires around.

OEM are $40/each = $320/set
Aftermarket are $50/each = $400/set

No, that's not too bad, but for what I sell them for that is a lot. I don't get them all the time tho, I don't pull those off of good engines, just cores when I have them.
