Can the same be said about the 1969 ZL1 COPO Camaro and the 2002 35th Annv. SS???

Now if you were talking about a ULTRA RARE 91 LX 5.0 Mustang with the Sedan body then the $55,000 would be worth it. :D

thats not exactly a fair comparison. if, however GM actually made the berger zl1 cars as a factory car; in 2002 with the big motor package and c5r option. which I think was selling for 100k+ when new, maybe in time they would be worth more than the original zl1. its all about what the people that have the big bucks care to spend it on.

look at the early "fuelie" vette's. they get big money. a 57 fuelie convertible is worth around 107K-237K on BJ. a regular carbed car, under 100. yes its rare, but it was so because in its day it was expensive to buy IE technology.

sometimes what makes them rare used to be options that were too pricey in its time to be popular. look at all the 40's and 50's cars that had unique stuff. power folding tops, pushbutton shift on the dash, funky moonroofs, crazy stuff that most poeple didn't want to pay for.

people will pay more for technology that an automaker "showcases" in a car. maybe, lol.

ONLY if it had $55K in cash on the pass. seat and a "91TRUNK" vanity plate .....

:badass:

That is a fair comparison....GM made both cars.....Anyone could order them...
Yes, the 69 was up there in price with the vette(more if memory serves me correctly)... By your comparison...the 02 has " much better handling, top speed, brakes, and a bullitproof (mostly) trans makes it a much better car".

I'm not sure of the 1/4 mile times tho....

The reasoning for my not "liking" the 00R that much is....Too many companies "Jumped on Board" to have their names associated with the car....B&M, Recaro and Brembo come to mind....

Make's sense. We'll agree to agree.

but again, this (below) is more of a proper comparison of a car to the 69 zl1. which almost no one at the time wanted (1969), and most SAT on dealer lots because of the cost. I have read of several people who now own them that bought them "new" 2+ years later when dealers had to almost give them away.

again, this car is a JOKE because it wasn't a factory car. BUT if it was, look out 1969 zl1. maybe..... heh.

hehe...I agree...

I read the same thing about the 69's... $7200 in 69...Lots of cash....
