classic Mustang destroyed in shipping

Clearly it wasn't properly fastened to the trailer since the trailer has no damage at its mount points. It always amazes me how shitty of a job people fasten cars, especially on rollbacks.
 
Unsecured load. Load should never leave its carrier. Wonder what the black Chevy in the pic did to cause it
 
Also, why the heck wouldn't you hire an enclosed trailer? I had my grand-sport shipped from Houston to Detroit for enclosed for $1100, how much did he save using Joe car hauler... esh.
 
i also heard the trucking company did not have cargo insurance. so unless that car owner put insurance on it. he's screwed other than sueing the guy
 
When I sold my Fairlane, the guy that bought it arranged the shipping. The guys showed up with an open car trailer with 4 other cars on it, mind you it the end of November and cold and snowing. The car had dual quads with no chokes so it did not want to start in the cold. I told the driver this and swore the car would not be started until they got to Washington. Needless to say the guy that bought it called me when it arrived pissed. Apparently the truck driver tried to start it and burned up the starter and drained the batttery and the car was a sloppy mess from snow storms from Michigan to Washington. I reminded the guy it was his choice not to use a carrier with an enclosed trailer. All to save $300 on shipping a $20000 car.
