CJMatts 1989 Notchback

Bump - New updates.

Car had a change of plans.

I now am changing it over to a more streetable, turbo setup. The TH350 is out and for sale as well as the built up LS1 in it

It will be replaced with a 4.8l Iron block, with 6.0 truck heads and a 70mm turbo, laying the power thru a 4l80e. I wanna see how much gas mileage I can squeeze out of it also!!!

Well my car runs a 1999 ls1 pcm, so it has transmission capability built into the PCM. Ive got a base file segment swap that allows it to run the 4l80e. Just have to add a couple wires to the harness, basically to add the second VSS and move a couple pins on the connector

sounds cool
Thanks, the plan is to keep it small displacement for fuel economy, yet be able to run high boost and squeeze out as much power as possible. I am also trying to see how much I can squeeze out of the stock bottom end.
Hoping to hit 600rwhp if possible, about 18psi

got some goodies in the mail yesterday. My T67 Turbo, arp head bolts and a C5R timing chain...now time to assemble

looks good! are you going to run a scavange pump for the return? the turbo looks a bit low for gravity drain? unless it's just the angle of the picture

Just a gravity drain. It is pretty low though. Heres how it was originally hooked up in the camaro I got the pipe from
