Holy balls. "I wish we could disqualify him but we can't"

I wonder what the rules are, and what kind of shit was talked before hand, and what kind of words were exchanged afterwards....I doubt I'd be running my truck against a beater

The guy in the SRT 8 was a moron for racing that.

This is awesome(turn down volume for annoying girlfriend)

Ive gone to these circle track races in flint at auto city a handful of times and they always have these spectator drags. They make you sign a liability waiver in case of an accident, as it is supposed to be something anyone in the audience can participate in. You see cars that shouldnt be out there all the time. if something like that happened to me and i had it on tape... Id be finding a lawyer because theres a clear intent of property destruction here. Thats not an "accident" even if the waiver does say 'any damage.'

the second video you posted seems like it was a revenge situation although i cant figure out who would be who. there was a lot of trash talking in the comments on both. if stunts like that finish were a regular occurrence that would be the end of these side shows.

No doubt there was intent, and that was fucked up.

Looking through videos, though, it seems like -especially at this track- guys going after each other isn't all that uncommon. Allegedly these two guys had been jawing before the race, which certainly didn't help matters. I'm not racing my new 40k SUV against some jackass I've been arguing with and his $500 pig on a track that's seen it's fair share of "accidents." That's just not smart.

I'm not saying it was his fault, I'm just saying he's a moron.

I agree with you but that is still not what the intent of event is, they are supposed to be just for fun. Im guessing this was something that escalated quickly and probably got the side show shut down. Its really not any different than signing a waiver at milan dragway and having some jack ass cut across the lane and take you out there.

If someone did that, on purpose(and it was that obvious), at Milan they'd be banned. Did you hear the announcer? "I wish we could disqualify him, but we can't." That doesn't sound like an operation about to get shut down.

Im saying i dont think the rules were designed to handle a situation like that so theres nothing else the announcer could have said. Ive seen some accidental scuffs at these things, but never have I ever witnessed anyone gunning to spin out the other person, even when both are driving beaters. That kind of activity on a regular basis would be too much liability for a sustainable operation. That second crash was bad enough to seriously hurt someone.
