They said if you cross behind it doesn't matter because it doesn't effect the other cars run, I think it's safe to say the crossing had quite the effect on Chief's run.

I'll make this short and sweet kind of deal....
Month or two before we leave for OKC jonny decides to cut up the car and redo it from the drive seat forward basically... Redoes it all...
Fast forward to Friday before our leaving date of Tuesday... Jonny puts the big tires on and goes to track... And destroys the rear end to his car... All weekend and Monday he scrambles to fix the car and put everything back together that got destroyed... The Blain brothers saved the day by fixing the rear end and redoing it all...
Monday night we are suppose to make a few passes on street to get the bugs worked out... No go rained and he called...
Loaded up Tuesday morning and headed out to OK... Smooth sailing... We ended up staying in Tulsa... Got there about midnight/1am... Check into the hotel and unload... Next thing ya know jonny goes lets go time to make a pass somewhere and get the bugs worked out... We drive around for a few hours looking for a spot to test... Finally found a concreate road that's apart of a underpass to a freeway somewhere in god's country... Unload the car and make a pass... Went right alil so jonny made an adjustment all good...
Wednesday during the day rest of Detroit starts showing up... We go testing out at night... But during the day the car is checked over for valve train and everything else... All good... Wednesday night we go to a spot Brian knew about and Jonny made a pass... No problem but Jonny says the car is idling high so we load in trailer and call it a night... Rest of crew still needs to make passes... Jimbo is up in Squinchy's car since the driver isn't here yet... Car is coming down so we do the usual routine and wait... Car backs up so Jimbo pulls out and next thing you know it's the police in a ford Taurus cop car... So while jimbo is strapped in the car... He couldn't open the door for the cop because the inside door handle busted... So now jimbo is stuck in the race car while the cop is outside of it... So they finally get jimbo out of car... Cop goes either I'm taking the car or arresting someone... Squinchy puts his hands behind his back and said take me... Squinchy said he can get out of jail no problem... Can't get the car out because we have no paperwork for it with us... After some slick talking by a few different people cop lets us all go and told us... "Ya know between X time and X time... Should be good..." Ok cool thanks officer... We all head back and wait... Make last few passes and done for the night...
Thursday we start working on car and see it blew the intake seal on jonnys car... Start checking everything over and found busted valve spring... Change that out and check it all over again... But wait there's more... More shit broken... Before I forget right now... The local speed shop there saved our ass and everyone's ass... If it wasn't for them... A few of us would of never made it... So we found the problem with jonnys motor... The jesel belt drive bolts for the camshaft sheared off and just spinning around... Luckily nothing else is destroyed... But wait... We found a busted bar in the front of jonnys car... They load up the car and take it to the local speed shop who had the worlds oldest tig welder to fix the busted bar... Now to find the jesel bolts... The owner of the speed shop took shit off his own personal car to help us fix the car to make the race/show... Load back up and head back to the hotel still have to put the whole car back together in the parking lot and redo intake and all... Start working on car... Getting it ready and finished it up... Let it sit overnight so everything seals up... Everyone tests again that night no problem....
Friday... Dragged the car out again.. .Checked everything over again... and again... Good to go... Night fall comes we go to test... Jonny makes a pass and lost steering alittle bit... Turns out the rack mounts were a little loose..... This is only pass number 3 on car... Comes back and it has transfluid everywhere... Overfilled alittle no problem... Get it ready... Fix steering... Jonny makes a pass... It was good... comes back... Tweaks it alittle... And makes pass number 5... Loaded it up and never touched it again till showtime... Checked everything over Saturday... And headed to show...
One cool part was the producers said we can race all night because they have the permit for all night... Once we heard that we were down... Finish taping for show and start racing everyone and their mother... But unfortunately that never came about... Could of made a few bucks that night... Jonny could of bought a few promods that night :lol:

Thanks for taking time to type that all up! I with Jonny would have got a shot at Chief and Murder Nova, I think he would have been a good race for both.
