Chrysler 300s reviews

Thinking of buying one and was looking for any advise or reviews on them. Any complaints or likes would be appreciated. Thanks in advance MM.
 
My wife had one for a year. She works for Chrysler. Her words "this is the first time I have actually hated a car."

Pros:
-great styling, nice interior,
-roomy, large trunk,
-nice stereo, massive sunroof

Cons:
-8 speed trans is awful. Holds gears too long under moderate or light acceleration, clunky shifting, confused in decel situations.
- constant whistle coming from somewhere under the hood. Dealer tried replacing the airbox and alternator without any success
- front left suspension clunked horribly. Dealer replaced sway bar links that were out of spec

She gave up on it and turned it in a year earlier and rolled the leftover into a new vehicle.

It's the first Chrysler that we've had since we've been together (7 years now) that was a turd.

Shame, because the car looks great and is very nice inside

PS. Hers was a 2015 Chrysler 300S... V6 with the 8 speed.

For what it's worth, I had a 2014 Hemi Charger R/T with the 5.7 V8 and the old simple 5 speed auto and it was great. I loved it.

Hes the only one above thats complained about the 8 speed....they put them in hellcats and everyone loves them....i love my 11 charger and i think the 300s is even nicer
 
I've driven boat loads of different cars/trucks with the 8 speed. Excellent trans. Only issue was i got a turbo diesel grand Cherokee stuck in 5 th gear temporarily. Not sure what happened, but I was using the trans very aggressively :)
 
My wife has a 2015 300S v6 8spd and she loves it. It has 17k on it with zero issues so far. Nice car and gets good mpg for its size.

My neighbor across the street has it in his wife's 2015 Durango and they have had it in three times for similar issues
 
i have a rwd '13 motown edition v6 8spd combo, love the car. its a fair mix of not a slow turd and great fuel economy. On the highway 30-32mpg, avg 20-24mpg depending on driving. With almost 300hp and 8spd it can usually find a gear and have enough umph to pass just fine. Bought new has 52k on it now and only issue was bluetooth was acting up recently swapped module its fine again. Really like the 15+ interior seems even more upscale then mine, still up in the air about the knob shifter but i imagine with paddles on the steering wheel not to bad. Great car overall coming from sportier cars past i wish sometimes it had a little more umph but at the same time thats why i have fun cars as a dd its comfortable, hasn't cost a arm and leg to maintain and looks great.
 
I have the 8 speed in a hemi ram and a hellcat car and they are flawless in both of them. Maybe it's the little motor/8 speed combination that doesn't work.

In my opinion, any Chrysler should have a hemi in it anyhow.
 
Seems like my family has all started switching to Chrysler products the last few years. Here are all the vehicles with the 8 speed trans in the family and nobody has complained about any transmission or shifting issues that I can remember. Hopefully that means any issues are very isolated.
- '14 300S RWD V6 - this one is mine. No trans issues whatsoever.
- '14 300S AWD V6
- '14 Durango RWD V6
- '14 Ram 4x4 V8
- '14 Ram 4x4 V8
- '15 300S AWD V6
 
I picked it up today. 15 v6 8spd and i like it a lot. Its a great mix of both sporty feel and classy styling. Now I just need the windows darkened a little...thanks for the input fellas..

So what you are saying is that during the holidays your driveway looks like a Chrysler used lot
 
The 8 speed in my charger is the best transmission i have ever driven.

It is the best part of the car if you ask me.
 
I had a 2013 300s but with the Hemi and the old 5 speed. I loved the car and they lease out pretty cheap.
