Chromebooks?

Was searching the pub before starting another post. I'm on the fence with a Chromebook, and have been looking at the Dell Chromebook 11. Would like something cheap just to print eBay shippers and access USPS.com FedEx.com and maybe WordPress. Seems pretty light duty and straightforward, but after reading reviews on Amazon I am skeptical....

Your printer has to support Google Cloud Print in order for it to work. If you just want a web surfer, it's fantastic.

I like my 10" Winbook. Touchscreen, runs Windows 10 (ships with 8.1), has HDMI out, full-sized and micro USB ports, and a microSD for storage. Use it as a tablet or get the add-on keyboard for a laptop experience.

It's an HP inkjet, wireless printing enabled. It appears that there is an Chrome extension/app for printing.
So, is there any way to keep local data? I have a dead laptop I plan to recover HD data from, and would store it on a USB hard drive or SD card.

I'm really tired of Windows these days, and a real keyboard is almost a must. I tend to copy and paste a lot writing shippers, so a mouse or GOOD selection capability is a must. The data storage is a definite plus though.

The touchpad gestures on Chrome OS are awesome. Took me about a day to get used to it, but now I catch myself trying them on Windows and Linux frequently.

USB hard drive or SD card, or you can upgrade the SSD. I swapped my 16GB for a 128GB, cost me about $40. If you have a NAS, you can also map network shares.

I picked up a Toshiba Chromebook and got to try it out a bit last night. Looks like it will do everything I want it to do, surfing, website editing, WIFI printing via an HP extension, writing shippers etc. It has a decent screen resolution, Skullcandy audio, and the touchpad is decent too. No touch screen, but I"m ok with that. With an extra hard cover (bling), soft case (fits chromebook only, not the power supply) and mouse it was $275 delivered.
