Anyone can lease a shop, bring their tools, and call themselves a tuner/performance shop. This is the norm.
Invariably there's a cash crunch and customer B's money pays for customer A's build. This works okay for a while until there's no customer C. Eventually there are hiccups and you can only buy so much time with empty promises and the house of cards collapses.
That's basically the gist of nearly every performance shop.
The other thousand pages is just gossip about who got fucked and what the money was squandered on, and neither of those really matter (unless of course you worked there or were a customer)..

But at the end, he started lying to customers to get more deposit money. He claimed to the end he never ripped anyone off, that the only reason he went out is because the credit card company locked his account and funds. Even though he was sued multiple times and lost.

And then filed for bankruptcy. Those who made claims for money owed from engines and work were awarded somewhere in the neighborhood of 5-10 cents on the dollar.
 
Anyone ever find the Black Mamba? I thought that came up at the bankruptcy trial that he still had it somewhere.

Didi the courts end up getting it, or did he manage to hide it from them? Last I heard his mechanic at APE was helping him hide the stuff. Just curious is all, that car had a lot of high dollar stuff on it.

If I remember correctly he told the court that he sold it to his step father to cover a debt.
 
The best part about this whole thing is that all the guys he always made fun of and spoke down to (like anyone from south Warren, anyone from other shops, etc) have gone on to do what he always wanted to do but never could make it happen LOL, like go 7s, win races, etc.

This guy was the biggest asshole on this entire forum. He made such a fool of himself in the end he had to abandon the entire hobby. That cracks me up lol

He was a total sociopath. Even after he was out of business and fraud charges were looming, he would post on here like nothing was wrong. Nick made his avatar a cartoon guy behind jailbars, made a special user group where he couldn't edit his posts or profile, and it didn't phase him. We ended up just finally banning him to get him to go away. He probably still has a troll ID on here.
